If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that Harry Potter is a big passion of mine (closely followed by castles - you can see where there might be an overlap).
I was about 16 when I was first introduced to the books by my friend, and even then it took a little while for me to go and buy a copy of the Philosopher’s Stone in my local WH Smiths. Once I had though, I never looked back.
I love the magical world that JK Rowling has created and I specifically love the proximity of that world to the real one. With even just the tiniest bit of imagination it’s easy to see how magic could be hidden all around us - hiding in plain sight.
My first vlog about Harry Potter came about because Geoff refused to give me any Potter-time in our joint vlogs together on his YouTube channel (don’t be too annoyed, we laugh about it … really …. I’m totally okay with it …) And so, voila! The ‘Why do I like Harry Potter so much?’ series was born.
It’s taken me 11 months to get around to producing episode two - yikes! (Books and train projects and full-time employment have gotten in the way a little bit). Nonetheless, I hope you’ll enjoy this second offering, which mainly includes commentary about the Hogwarts houses.
I’m a Hufflepuff btw. Loyal and hardworking (and with a pinch of Gryffindor - sometimes just a tiny bit brave).
